UK bans fifth neo-Nazi group under terror laws

Members of "The Base" tried to groom teenagers in the UK and elsewhere as recruits

An American neo-Nazi group which is led from Russia is to be banned as a terrorist organisation, the Home Secretary has said.

Priti Patel condemned "evil white supremacist groups, who target vulnerable people across the world".

The Base will be the fifth extreme right-wing group to be proscribed in the UK under anti-terror laws.

Last year BBC Panorama exposed the organisation's recruitments efforts in the UK.

Russia's Gay-Friendly Schoolteachers In The Crosshairs

Two of them have already been fired, a trend activists blame on the introduction of a controversial law banning the "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations" among minors. Yekaterina Bogach, an award-winning Spanish-language instructor in St. Petersburg, is the latest to be caught in the crosshairs of antigay vigilantes. This week, the city's education department placed her under investigation after a group of local residents filed a complaint claiming that her participation in gay-rights rallies made her unfit to teach children.

European Antifascist Manifesto

Sixty eight years after the end of World War Two and the defeat of Fascism and Nazism we are witnessing almost everywhere in Europe the rise of extreme right. But, and this is an even more distressing phenomenon, we see the emergence and growth to the right of this extreme right, plainly neo-Nazi forces which, in some cases (Greece, Hungary,…) are putting down roots in society building popular, radical, racist, ultra-violent, and pogromist mass movements.

Have a look at who’s been invited to the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration

The Conservatives invited two witnesses to the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration today from the Canadian Immigration Report, an organisation associating itself with racists and hate groups.

On the Canadian Immigration Report website, we can find among other things, an interview with well-known Canadian white supremacist Paul Fromm:

“Certainly the policy in Canada is one of ethnic cleansing and replacement. By 2015, the European founding settler people will be a minority … we will have been ethnically cleansed out of our own country.”
