Talking to Radio NL host Brett Mineer about so-called Yellow Vest protestors in Kamloops threatening him and his family

Talking to Radio NL host Brett Mineer about so-called Yellow Vest protestors in Kamloops threatening him and his family.

After tweeting about the Yellow Vests, Mineer received over 800 messages, overwhelmingly from Alberta and Ontario, which threatened his family and detailing how he should be murdered. In this interview (9:45), he discusses the threats and shows, for example, how much of the Yellow Vests Canada rhetoric aligns with Conservative Party leader Andrew Scheer's criticisms of the UN Migration Pact. Mineer notes that Scheer is playing with fire. Indeed!

Yellow vests in Canada: ‘We’re not racist if you ignore the things we say and do’

EDMONTON – Setting the record straight, members of the populist yellow vest movement are claiming that they are tolerant and respectful if you ignore what they have been saying and doing.

“There are a few hundred-thousand bad apples who are demanding an end to immigration or peddling anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, but that shouldn’t discredit the movement,” said one organizer. “We’re sure to recruit more and more Canadians so long as our message is not heard or seen.”

Rebel Media Cuts Ties With Racist “Nationalist” Star (Jan. 2019 Edition)

"The “white genocide” booster, who once seemed dismayed by the presence of Black people in Toronto, was the biggest name remaining at a site that once served as the SNL of launching alt-lite careers, boasting such luminaries as Faith Goldy, Lauren Southern, Gavin McInnes, Tommy Robinson, Laura Loomer, and others whose names are mercifully no longer at the ready in our heads. Hopkins’s departure also means that for the first time in nearly two years, there is no one on the masthead listed as a “Shillman Fellow,” a position subsidized by barcode-scanner magnate Robert Shillman. Robinson, a previous fellow, reportedly earned the equivalent of about $170,000 CAD per year from the site. Last year, Hopkins applied for insolvency following the loss of a high-profile defamation suit. Having joined the site in January of 2018, Hopkins’s tenure lasted nearly a full year. Former Trump advisor Sebastian Gorka, Rebel Media’s other high-profile get last year, stuck around for just two and a half months."

Facebook begins removing comments from Yellow Vests Canada group following talk of killing Trudeau

The social media company said the action was taken because the content violated its community standards. Facebook said it was continuing to review the group, which has more than 100,000 members.

Canadians Made A Facebook Protest Group About Justin Trudeau And It's Full Of Death Threats

"Facebook administrators aren't the only ones taking note of the violent comments and death threats. A Twitter account under the name Yellow Vests Canada Exposed has also been compiling the numerous threats made on their page."

CORRECTION: Facebook is taking note of the threats only because Yellow Vests Canada Exposed documented the extent of such threats against the Prime Minister, along with the outpourings of hate from YVC supporters, including notable white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

Thunder Bay rally participants have had 'enough' of racism toward Indigenous people

About 100 people gathered in front of Thunder Bay city hall Tuesday to publicly call for a safer community for, and more tolerant city toward, Indigenous people.

Organizers of the rally say they also want to know what municipal, provincial and federal governments will do to combat racism locally and across the country.

"It's time for change, I want to know what individuals are going to do to combat racism," Scott Hobbs, one of the organizers, told CBC News. "I want to ask all three levels of government what they're going to do to fight racism."

"It's time."
